Being A "Red Cupper" Is A Tuff Life!

One of the highlights
of our upcoming
Key West trip,
is a sceinic boat trip in
and around the Keys.
The boat docks at the Key
West Harbour & Yacht Club. I understand there is a
health supply of Dickel, plenty of sunshine, and a ton
of fun to be had..... The whole trip is going to be a blast,
this just pushed it over the top. Our thanks to Charles,
Dawn, David, & Regina..... A very generous gift, we owe ya!

Never Give Up On Hope & Prayers

Well....I Guess it would be safe to say Verne got
some good news today!...Per the pathologist, the
tumor attached to his kidney was not cancer!
Can't imagine the stress our buddy has gone
through while waiting on this report, but we all
are thankful for the outcome!.......Per Verne, we
all intend to have a special "Red Cup Moment"
just to celebrate this wonderful news!

Vern Update!

The surgery went well and Vern is doing good.
Several visited him on October 6th, and found his spirits
good, but also illustrating a little discomfort.

I guess it's OK to share they removed Vern's right kidney.
It was a dreaded but necessary procedure.

The flowers sent from the "Red Cup Society" , made it to
his room and looked great.
More are slated to visit as the days go on. There is high
optimism he may get to go home Friday....We'll keep our
fingers crossed.
Hang in there Vern! You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Our August Special Mtg

Our August meeting was dedicated to raising some money for a
special need. The "Turn out" was great and the giving was
wonderful. We thank Dano, Vernon and Rhonda for a very good
time. We further thank Trey & Joe for the music!... It's always
a pleasure to listen to them play!
Vernon has been discussed many times over the last year and
the possibility of asking him to become a member. Well, it was
voted on, approved, and Vernon accepted. We welcome Vernon
to our group. There is no doubt he will bring even more light to
a very wonderful group of people! Attached are a few pics of our
August George Dickel Red Cup Society Mtg.

Our New England Trip 2010

Man!...Where do I start...We had such a large time...We rode
around 2200 miles, no rain, and had so much fun. We thank
Arnie, Dave, and Tom for showing us an outstanding time in
beautiful Vermont. We just can't get enough of that place.
Pretty much decicided we're gonna have to do this every
other year or so. There is so much more to see!

We have decided a "Southern Man" has no business on the
Jersey Turnpike. We're not ready for the stress, and they're
not ready for the outcome! We have unanimously decided,
they can keep that place!...Actually witnessed a 31 mile
traffic jam in Washington, DC.....Too many people and no
plan to move them around...That's our take!

Take a look at the photos and enjoy!
Great time, Great laughs, Great memories!...................8D

that still need to confirm.

Our Tullahoma Trip

There's no doubt this last visit to Tullahoma was a good as it gets.
From the hospitality, to the Dickel B-B-Q, and the trip to the
cemetery. It's just a trip we look forward to every year.
As a matter of fact, it was stated by several, we should have
just stayed a day or two more. Just may do that next year.
.

As a matter of fact, we've already started discussing next year!
Let us again thank Taylor & Rhonda for pulling it all together

The Old Troubadours Are At It Again!

You Get Tuffer' With Age!
It appears it's time for Jake &
Kenny to embarq on what they
call their "Old Troubadour" ride.
It has become an annual event
and is now in it's third year runnin'.
Their plans are to head to North Dakota
by way of Chicago.

Kenny should get yet another two states, totaling 46 to date, of his
lower 48 goal. I guess they will stop and rest when one of them
whines! Fairly competitive these two! They pull out at the
"Butt-Crack" of Dawn on Monday, June 21st, and I guess
we'll see them sometime when they return. I think the trip is
slated for 3100 miles in 5 days............................8D

Post Trip Update!
Our trip went pretty much "As Planned". Had to reverse the overall trip format to avoid super bad storms.
We did 3050 miles in 4 day & 2 hours. Covered 14 states and qualified for two "Iron Butt" awards.
I think I speak for Jake as well as myself "We had a ball and feel like we've achieved a very large accomplishment".

May Bike Trip!

Our trip to Billy's was a huge success.
It was a short trip but we all had a ball!
We thank Billy for being such a great host.
Maybe we can return the hospitality in the
near future!
